Happy Thursday!

Don't forget to join me at the SPED Summit next week! It all starts Monday. It's mostly for educators, but I'm sure parents would benefit from it, too.

Getting back into routine this week... I'm also mapping out my year.

First, I mapped out my vacations! Then I covered my calendar in the silly stickers and colorful pens that bring me an unreasonable amount of joy.

I'm planning some live workshops to help you out this year! I'd like to do 1-2 in February/March.

Here are some ideas I'm thinking of... hit reply if any in particular seem extra extra interesting for you:

  • Morphology - The Basics to Build Vocabulary
  • Ways to Help Your Child with Reading
  • Helping Kids with the Writing Process
  • Something else??

FYI- I know I've had some questions about math, but I am not the absolute expert on all things math, so I do not plan on any math workshops right now. I'm good at helping kids with their math skills, but it's not my sweet spot the way reading is!

On the Podcast: Finishing the School Year Strong

Why on earth am I talking about the end of the school year now?

Because now is when we decided to push to get certain goals accomplished by May.

It's also when we see which ones may not be reasonable to hit by the the end of the school year.

It's when we make a plan for what to do next to finish strong!

Happy Thursday! This week went super far off the plan! I unexpectedly had 3 kids this weekend after their mom's car broke down. Plus I had the littlest one again last night. 3 kids ages 1-14, there was ZERO chance I would be recording the podcast this week. Sorry friend, but if you have a great question, hit reply and maybe it will be next week's episode! In the meantime, here is a special "Just because..." bonus promo code just for being an awesome subscriber to the newsletter. Promo Code:...

My handyman adventures this weekend inspired this week's episode of the podcast (link below) Facts about dyslexia you probably didn't know: Up to 25% of CEOs and founders of major businesses have dyslexia Dyslexia...

Happy Thursday! I was chatting with a random, kind lady standing next to me on my break between clients last week. She made a comment about how cool my life sounds... but she doesn't know the full story. I said I had just gotten back from Portugal and that I'd been traveling to Europe a lot in recent years. But there is 90% of my life that is utterly boring! I take awesome vacations because in my real world: I work far too much Spend far too much time with my mom and my dog Almost never go...
