two opposite things can be true at the same time

Happy Thursday!

I was chatting with a random, kind lady standing next to me on my break between clients last week.

She made a comment about how cool my life sounds... but she doesn't know the full story.

I said I had just gotten back from Portugal and that I'd been traveling to Europe a lot in recent years.

But there is 90% of my life that is utterly boring!

I take awesome vacations because in my real world:

  • I work far too much
  • Spend far too much time with my mom and my dog
  • Almost never go out to eat
  • I even bought a nice coffee maker instead of my Starbucks runs now that life has gotten CRAZY expensive!
  • I earn lots of hotel credit card points from the insane cost of private health insurance for a tiny business owner

I'm super boring but also have a pretty great life in a lot of ways.

Two things can be true at the same time.

That was my motivation for this week's podcast...

On the Podcast: What does dyslexia look like in the long run?

Kids can have dyslexia AND become awesome, successful people!

I have friends with dyslexia who are teachers, CEOs, forestry workers, and tech people who are all very successful humans.

Sometimes it takes baby steps to get there.

It takes assistive technology and supportive friends and family.

But eventually, most of them will be just fine!

Even if it doesn't seem like it when they are struggling kids.

Listen to this week's episode to hear more.

Happy Thursday! This week went super far off the plan! I unexpectedly had 3 kids this weekend after their mom's car broke down. Plus I had the littlest one again last night. 3 kids ages 1-14, there was ZERO chance I would be recording the podcast this week. Sorry friend, but if you have a great question, hit reply and maybe it will be next week's episode! In the meantime, here is a special "Just because..." bonus promo code just for being an awesome subscriber to the newsletter. Promo Code:...
