One thing I'm NOT giving up this year

Happy New Year!

I took a much needed break from working for the holidays, so no new podcast for this week.

Part of that is because I was clumsy and rolled my ankle carrying a giant crate down the stairs the day after Christmas. Thankfully, enough years as a soccer player, I'm a pro at using kinesiology tape and an ankle brace!

I made these adorable crochet critters while propping my foot up on New Years Eve. They are called Woobles and I've never made more than a blanket or scarf, so it was cool to learn something new.

One thing I'm not giving up this year is VACATION TIME!

I've already got two fun trips booked for 2024, plus at least 1 more work trip! It's so easy for me to overwork since there are so many kids who need help. So I consciously booked my vacation time before I open up registration for my summer session.

Do you have one thing you definitely aren't giving up for this year?

Are you a special ed teacher?

If so, I think you'd really like the SPED Summit I'm participating in this month! You can register to attend and it's totally free!

I'm presenting on IEP goals that lead to success.

Happy Thursday! This week went super far off the plan! I unexpectedly had 3 kids this weekend after their mom's car broke down. Plus I had the littlest one again last night. 3 kids ages 1-14, there was ZERO chance I would be recording the podcast this week. Sorry friend, but if you have a great question, hit reply and maybe it will be next week's episode! In the meantime, here is a special "Just because..." bonus promo code just for being an awesome subscriber to the newsletter. Promo Code:...

My handyman adventures this weekend inspired this week's episode of the podcast (link below) Facts about dyslexia you probably didn't know: Up to 25% of CEOs and founders of major businesses have dyslexia Dyslexia...

Happy Thursday! I was chatting with a random, kind lady standing next to me on my break between clients last week. She made a comment about how cool my life sounds... but she doesn't know the full story. I said I had just gotten back from Portugal and that I'd been traveling to Europe a lot in recent years. But there is 90% of my life that is utterly boring! I take awesome vacations because in my real world: I work far too much Spend far too much time with my mom and my dog Almost never go...
